Hypnotherapy can be an effective treatment for anxiety, especially when used as a complementary therapy to other approaches like medication or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Hypnosis can help people with anxiety by inducing a relaxed state, which can reduce feelings of self-consciousness and increase emotional control.

 

Hypnotherapy sessions for anxiety may include methods like:

  • Progressive muscle relaxation
    A hypnotherapist guides the patient through this technique to help them enter a hypnotic trance state.
  • Mindfulness

    The patient can release stress and tension through focused awareness and soothing suggestions. 

  • Some studies have found that hypnotherapy can have a significant, immediate, and long-lasting effect on anxiety. One study found that hypnotherapy achieved a 93% success rate after just six sessions over a period of one to two months. However, not everyone responds to hypnosis equally, with some people showing a large response and others not responding as well. 

  • Studies show that 90% of people can be hypnotized if they are willing to focus, pay attention and allow themselves to relax and hypnosis process follow the proccess.
